Course Objectives:
To provide an understanding of how biotechnology projects (including drugs, medical
devices & general medical science) & companies are created, established, managed, and funded
in order to develop the students creative, innovative and entrepreneurial skills. This is taught
through lectures, group work and presentations. During the course, each student group will
develop a new project/product, which they will pitch to potential interested parties. This can
potentially lead to the formation of real start-up companies that can arise from this course.
